The first step that you need to take is to go to http://www.nrcan.gc.ca/energy/software-tools/7465 and download the RETScreen Expert on your PC. Once the process is completed, double-click the freshly downloaded file.
Select your desired language, click Next, then move the checkmark to the I Agree box and again, click Next.
Now, select the folder where you wish the application to be installed or leave it as it is and it will go into your Program Files folder.
In case a User Account Control window pops up asking you if you want to allow RETScreen Expert to make changes on your device press Yes.
Wait for the setup process to complete (it's installing even if it seems stuck on 0%), click Finish and you're done.
